Member Services Representative | Central Coast Alliance for Health | Merced, CA

The Alliance is a regional non-profit Medi-Cal health plan expanding to serve Medi-Cal beneficiaries in Merced County starting October 2009. The Alliance is opening an office in the city of Merced and plans to recruit approximately 50 staff over the next 7 months.

Job Summary
This position is responsible for representing Central Coast Alliance For Health in main and/or field offices, as the first line of contact for members; assists Medi-Cal beneficiaries in understanding and utilizing the Alliance program; assists members in selecting a Primary Care Physician; receives, documents and resolves members’ concerns and complaints; assists members in utilizing grievance process; performs outreach to members, providers and community agencies in support of the Alliance’s mission. Positions available for bilingual English/Spanish, bilingual English/Hmong and English only.

Education & Experience, Knowledge & Abilities
  • Minimum AA Degree; and, two (2) years’ experience in Health Care, Public Assistance or Human Services programs; or, three (3) years’ experience in Member Services or customer service; or, equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Experience with Managed Health Care and Management Information Systems preferred.
